Pearson Automotive is extremely proud to announce that our President, John Pearson, is the United States Tennis Association’s 2016 Midwest Stan Malless Award Recipient. The Stan Malles Award recognizes an individual’s distinguished service to develop tennis programs in his or her local community. To see more USTA’s recipient, view the Midwest Awards.

John Pearson has a devoted passion for tennis, particularly at the grass roots level. He was a member of the first group of instructors for the National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) program in Indianapolis at the Riverside Park location, and continued to support NJTL for years in various ways.

Pearson has coordinated and sponsored the Pearson Ford Open, a tennis tournament, for more than 20 years. The tournament has grown in participation and prize money over the years. Recently, the Pearson Ford Open tournament has attracted former top ranked ATP players Robby Ginepri and Amer Delic.

Pearson is also an avid and accomplished tennis player himself, having competed at the junior and college level. He still competes in USTA leagues and has played at the sectional and national levels many times, including winning a national title in 1988.

Additionally John Pearson is partly responsible for the construction of the new Pearson Automotive Tennis Club in Zionsville, Indiana. The facility is expected to open in January 2017, however member registration is open now! The state of the art facility will offer eight regulation size climate-controlled tennis courts, a guest lounge and viewing platform, men’s and women’s locker rooms, online registration and court reservation, and skilled, professional instructors from Team Witsken who will offer lessons, clinics, leagues and tournaments.

John Pearson’s passionate support spans much further than the tennis community. His leadership at Pearson Automotive is a testament to this. Pearson Automotive enriches the local community and residents through its support of several other Indianapolis organizations. This philosophy is also incorporated into how Pearson Automotive operates as a business and treats its staff and customers. John Pearson sets an example that all Pearson employees strive to live up to. We hope you visit us at Pearson Ford, Auto Credit Builders, Pearson Wholesale Parts, Quick Lane or Performance Collision Center to see for yourself.
