Ford Super Duty for Sale

Red 2026 Ford F-450 Super Duty head on

These days, the Ford lineup includes a truck for pretty much anyone, no matter what a driver is looking for; folks in need of something on the smaller side have the Maverick and Ranger to enjoy, while the F-150 remains the industry leader for a full-size, light-duty truck. Those are great options, but if you are looking for something with some serious power under the hood and incredible capability, then you need to check out a Ford Super Duty for sale. These are trucks designed for drivers who need the most from their pickups, and there is no better option when you want towing and payload above everything else.

While Ford offers chassis cab models for a wide range of commercial needs, the standard Super Duty lineup is the perfect middle-way between those options and light-duty daily drivers. These Super Duty models are an ideal choice for tackling some serious work, but they can also be a great choice for heading off-road or handling other tasks that many trucks out there simply cannot do. No matter what you are looking for from your pickup, if you need unbeatable power and performance, then you owe it to yourself to see what the Super Duty models can do. Here at Pearson Ford, we can take you through the Super Duty lineup and make sure you find the perfect truck to take every drive to the next level.

Get to Know the Ford Super Duty Lineup

As you are shopping for your next Ford truck, you have an incredible range of options available to you, so choosing the right one is very important—this is a big part of why it helps to work with a dealership that knows Ford trucks inside and out. Super Duty models represent the pinnacle of power and performance in Ford pickups, so if you are looking for something smaller or you do not need all this power, then a different model is the way to go. However, for those drivers who demand the most from their trucks, these Super Duty models are the perfect choice. Plus, Ford gives you three different options for getting the kind of capability you need.

These days, you have numerous bed lengths and cab sizes available for the Super Duty models, so even though these are trucks built for incredible performance, your options are not especially limited. On top of that, multiple engines are also offered on these trucks, including standard gas engines and diesel options, though you can rest assured every engine in a Super Duty model is quite powerful. Best of all, even though you are likely choosing a Super Duty to tackle some serious work, impressive trim levels and tech features are still offered, like large Digital Instrument Cluster displays and even head-up displays to provide you with more information in your sightline. No matter what you are looking for from a powerful truck, there is a Super Duty model that is ready to deliver.

Ford F-250––Starting Things Off Right

The starting point for the Super Duty lineup is the Ford F-250, though we would never call this an entry-level truck considering the remarkable power and capability it offers. You can choose from a variety of gas engines and diesel powertrains for the F-250, giving you the freedom to get the kind of power and driving experience you prefer. Four-wheel drive (4×4) is available for the F-250 and other Super Duty models, letting you choose the type of performance you need based on where you tend to go the most. The fact that you can still customize this truck as much as you need to is one of the things we like most about it.

As we said, this is the starting point for the Super Duty models, which means it delivers greater capabilities than something like the Ford Ranger or even the F-150, but it does get surpassed by the other two models. You might find an F-250 with around 20,000 lbs of towing capacity or about 4,000 lbs of maximum payload, for example, though you should check any model you are interested in to see exact numbers. One thing to note, however, is that the F-250 is only offered with a single rear-wheel (SRW) setup, which means it has one wheel on each side of the rear axle. This will be an important consideration as we look at the next two models, so keep that in mind and think about what kind of power you need from your pickup.

Ford F-350––Big Power, Great Options

Moving up from the F-250, the Ford F-350 sits right in the middle of the Super Duty lineup, which puts it in a great spot for many drivers. If you are looking for incredible power and capabilities combined with plenty of customization options, then this is one to focus on. You can still choose from different gas and diesel engines with the F-350, along with various cab sizes and bed lengths, to ensure you get the perfect truck with everything you need. The F-350 is offered with 4×4, making it a fantastic option if you work in forestry or otherwise need to have a powerful and capable truck that can handle dirt roads and rough terrain with ease.

Since this comes in at the middle of the Super Duty lineup, it delivers power and capability that corresponds to that position. The key to this is that the F-350 is available with a dual rear-wheel (DRW) setup in addition to the standard SRW configuration, which gives you a pair of wheels on each side of the rear axle. Going with a DRW model opens up a massive increase in payload and towing capacity, especially if you are interested in gooseneck or fifth wheel towing. The specific capability of any model can vary, so always look at what a particular one you are interested in can handle, but you can find F-350 models with around 30,000 lbs of towing capability and more than 7,000 lbs of payload. This is not the king of Ford truck performance, but it is not far from it.

Ford F-450––Massive Towing and Power

The title and crown for the king of Ford truck performance goes to the F-450, at least when it comes to standard trucks and the Super Duty lineup (without getting into a chassis cab or similar commercial trucks). Placed at the top of the Super Duty models, the Ford F-450 is an absolute beast of a truck with serious power and capability; this is generally used for work purposes, though you could certainly take one off-road if you wanted to. You will not find gas engines on F-450 models. Instead, you get powerful diesel engines designed to do some serious work and take just about any abuse you throw at them. This limits your options a bit with the F-450, but the trade-off is remarkable power that few other trucks can come close to matching.

One of the standout features of the F-450, and what helps put it at the top of the performance charts, is that every model comes with a DRW configuration—you cannot get an SRW Ford F-450. Again, this limits your freedom a bit, but if you are looking for ultimate power and capability, then this is already what you wanted, so it works out quite well. The result is that every F-450 model hits the road with immense performance, which is perfect for getting some serious work done. From hauling building materials to a job site to getting a horse trailer to a competition or fair, this truck can tackle the job. A Ford F-450 can handle well over 35,000 lbs of gooseneck towing, though you should check the specs of any model you are interested in.

Exciting New Ford Super Duty Models

As you are exploring different options and looking for the perfect truck with everything you need, we suggest starting with a new Super Duty pickup. With a new model, you get to enjoy all of the latest features and options, plus you have the freedom to consider different configurations and get everything you are looking for. As we mentioned earlier, Super Duty trucks are available in a wide range of styles and setups, so you can find different cab sizes, bed lengths, engines, and much more when exploring new vehicles. If you really want total control over what you get, then we can help you custom order your next Super Duty truck directly from Ford and guide you through the process of getting the perfect pickup.

One of the biggest perks of going with a new model is that you get to make the most of all the technology and features currently available on Super Duty trucks. This includes things like available Digital Instrument Cluster displays and large Infotainment screens; you might think of these as luxury features, but a big center display can make it a lot easier to use navigation features to find a remote location or to connect to a hitch for towing. Ford has developed incredible technology to assist with towing safely, which you can enjoy with a new model, along with enhanced features like Pro Power Onboard outlets to use your truck as a power supply for tools and equipment. Although these are work trucks, first and foremost, they have plenty of options to improve your drive each day and make doing your job even easier.

Fantastic Pre-Owned Super Duty Options

While we love the feel of driving a new Super Duty truck fresh from the factory, there is also something to be said for keeping a terrific pickup on the road longer. With a pre-owned Ford Super Duty truck, you can enjoy all of the incredible power and capabilities of these vehicles while also going easier on your budget or stretching your dollar further—we know how important it is to keep costs down for your business. Plus, many Super Duty trucks have diesel engines powering them, which are well known for lasting longer than comparable gas engines. As long as it has been properly maintained, a diesel engine at 100,000 miles is just getting going and has a lot of life left in it.

This means you can shop for a used Super Duty truck and have confidence that whatever vehicle you find will treat you well for a long time. Of course, it is still important that you shop with a dealership you know you can trust so you get access to vehicles in the best condition possible, which is precisely what you will find here at Pearson Ford. Best of all, looking at pre-owned models gives you a tremendous amount of freedom since you have so many different options available to you. This can make it easier to find what you are looking for—even late-year models with modern features and tech—and drive away in a truck that will work hard for you for a long time. And with one of our knowledgeable salespeople by your side, it is easy to find a used Super Duty truck with everything you need.
