Since its re-launch in 2021, the Ford Bronco has provided off-roaders with a capable SUV that’s tough, stylish, and down for just about anything, from rolling through the mud to crawling over imposing boulders. This makes it stand out from Ford’s other SUVs and crossovers, which are generally more focused on providing optimal on-road comfort. But what if you want something in the middle? If you’re interested in an SUV that can handle a bit of off-road action but is also a great vehicle for day-to-day driving around town and day trips to Indianapolis, then you might be interested in the Bronco Sport.
We’re proud to offer the Ford Bronco Sport for sale here at Pearson Ford. This model shares a lot in common with the Ford Bronco, including its rugged styling and its ability to venture off-road, but where the Bronco is a body-on-frame vehicle that’s turned for extreme off-roading first and foremost, the Bronco Sport is a unibody crossover that gives you a smooth on-road ride but still has more ground clearance and less body overhang that most SUVs, giving it plenty of off-road chops. It’s essentially a middle ground between the Bronco and the Escape, offering you the best of both worlds.
Whether your idea of adventure is a coast-to-coast road trip or a trek through the wilderness, the Bronco Sport is up to the challenge. Its interior offers plenty of cargo space and room for passengers to stretch out and get comfortable, but its overall body size is nice and compact. That makes it easy to maneuver just about anywhere, whether you’re trying to get a spot in a crowded mall parking lot or tackling a tight OHV trail with lots of twists and turns. Accessories like roof racks let you bring extra gear or luggage along for the ride without compromising that flexibility or filling up your interior space.
The Bronco Sport can help you get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but that doesn’t mean that you have to leave all of your modern comforts behind. There are plenty of convenience and tech features that will elevate your driving experience and keep you safe both on-road and off. From onboard navigation to multiple camera angles to a top-of-the-line infotainment system, the Bronco Sport has everything you need to help you get where you’re going, park with ease on any street or trail, and stay connected and entertained throughout your journey.
For the 2023 model year, Ford introduced two new Bronco Sport trims. The Heritage trim is based on the Big Bend trim, so you’ll get standard features like push-button start, the Molle straps system to help organize your interior storage space, and automatic climate control, which are all upgrades from what’s offered on the Base trim. The Heritage edition stands out from the Big Bend thanks to its iconic styling, which is an homage to the original 1966 Ford Bronco. There are new paint colors, white accents on the roof and grille, and seats with a unique plaid pattern.
The Heritage Limited trim has a similar look, but it’s based on the Badlands trim instead of the Big Bend. This means that it has better performance and off-road capability, with a more powerful 2.0L EcoBoost engine under the hood, metal bash plates to protect underbody components, and an off-road-tuned suspension. Rather than the regular 4x4, it has an advanced 4x4 linked to a more versatile Terrain Management System. In addition to the five modes that come standard on the Base trim (Normal, Eco, Slippery, Sand, and Sport), it also has Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl modes.
The Bronco Sport is a rugged vehicle that’s built to last for the long haul. That means you can buy a used model with confidence, knowing that it’s going to serve you well for years to come. Since used models tend to be more affordable, buying a pre-owned Bronco Sport is a great way to either save a few bucks for a rainy day or upgrade to a higher trim level without going over budget. Used vehicles also don’t suffer as much from depreciation as new models, so you’ll get a better deal on a trade-in when it comes time to get your next car.
Here at Pearson Ford, we make shopping for a used vehicle easy. When you buy directly from an owner or from a sketchy source, you have to worry about hidden problems that can come back to bite you later, but when you browse our used inventory, you can rest assured that every single vehicle has been inspected and determined to be safe and reliable. We also offer complimentary vehicle history reports so that you can look at service records and how many previous owners each particular model has had before you commit to buying. We want to make sure that you have everything you need to make an informed decision.
